While I certainly have faith in my marketing abilities, background, and knowledge, there are a couple of small lessons that have guided me my entire life that I would like to leave this post off with.
1. No Matter How Much I Know, or Think I know. I know NOTHING. The world, and human nature is way beyond my comprehension. Way beyond my ability to fully understand. Which leads to rule number two.
2.”Who Is the Wise Man? He Who Learns From Everyone!” – Ethics of Our Fathers.
So, while I may not have had one mentor. You, and the rest of the world are my mentor, and will always continue to shed light on the mysteries of the world and marketing and give me more and more insight into where it hurts, and how to make your pain go away. (I believe marketing is about healing. It is about communicating a cure that successfully solves problems and removes pain from your life.)
I make this one promise as I embark on this blog and chronicle my experiences as a lifelong student always learning, that no matter who you are, and what your credentials or background.
I WILL ALWAYS LISTEN TO WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ALL THE LESSONS YOU HAVE AND CONTINUE TO TEACH ME.
Thank You,
David Melamed
